88-cnqst-tsi
what type or brandb are good and how much of what size do i need for all the line in the engine bay?
dmyers151
I've been getting mine from boostcontroller.com, the 3mm ID fits best. To redo all of the stock hoses at full length, you'll need ~40'.
DurbenQuest
go to napa. Vac line is cheap and black looks the best
dmyers151
The Napa stuff from behind the counter is rubber. It'll get all hard and brittle after a short while. Even the "silicone" stuff you can get from Summit and Jegs is crap. The pure silicone hose from HoseTechniques or BoostController is the way to go. TexasQuest
I bought a roll of Napa vacuum line and changed all my vacuum lines about 6 years ago and it's still holding up fine....

TrustConquest
I just finished re-doing the vac lines in my engine bay. I ordered a roll of 50' silicone line from Modern Automotive Performance, a performance shop here in Minnesota, for $46.95. http://www.maperform...-bulk-pack.html I used 1/8" (3.2mm) Interior Diameter (ID) and everything fit nicely. ***SIDE NOTE: They didn't have Yellow in stock and had to special order it from Vibrant Performance, which is in Mississauga, Ontario. Vibrant Performance also supplies a lot of dealers in Canada, you can find them listed on their website. Nightcall
Can we use the 3mm ID? I might buy from here http://www.boostcontroller.com/TurboLogic-Silicone-Vacuum-Hose-s/2128.htm Edit: I just spoke to the guy he said 3mm is fine to use since it'll stretch. Is that right? They're using silicone. Also we need 7 of these at 40 feet right? Thanks!!! Edited February 9, 2015 by Nightcall
