Komeuppance
I found a post by him a few months ago on a DSM board in Vancouver BC... Saw this Starion out in Shawnigan Lake, could hear it coming for km's, like it was right beside me....could tell it was 4g power, easily turning 9,000rpm, guy must have a bundle under the hood. My p**** moved North. I then went inside for a beer and a taco. I then went to bed for a taco and a sleep. Shawn I am intrigued by this mystical Starion in Canada... -Robert

Earl
Does anyone know how well these worked? I imagine they work just as well as the MK1 sprockets, but I was just curious. Looks very good and solid to me=)
Komeuppance
There were two guys that made these, one of them I know for sure used new original gears (from a reputable aftermarket supplier) and had them modified. I think that was Pagemo's though with 5 locking bolts. -Robert
Earl
I PM'd Pagemo a week or so ago, and haven't heard back from him. I'm sure he either sold them all or has just been busy. I think it's a little of both, but Import Warrior messaged me right after I PM'd Pagemo, and he offered me this=) So I'm opting for this one. Now a quick question. With the MK1 being aluminum, would that make it easier on the drivetrain and allow you to rev higher/faster, like other lightweight valvetrain parts allow you to do? 88TSI_Rob
I miss their tri-bars. -Robert You're mixing people up. S&M were two brothers, Shawn and Mike that sold that fabulous tri-bar strut brace for the front and they made a matching one for the rear. Shawn also was known for sewing up shift boot covers. I met Shawn briefly at Carlisle one year. Really nice guy. IIRC his brother moved down to Brazil and I think Shawn eventually moved down there as well. Shawn Silva is/was a fabricator from Canada. He made the 1st (as far as I know) adjustable cam gear, and also advertised his own intake and exhaust manifolds. I have both the adj. cam gear and the S&M bars. Komeuppance
Ah, two Shawn's. I do remember the move to Brazil now, and everything else. Thanks for clearing that up. -Robert

88TSI_Rob
how do you like the camgear 88TSI_Rob? I actually bought it and it's on the way=~) lol I'm waiting to pick up an aftermarket cam before I install it, so I haven't had a chance to use it yet. Earl
why not install it wiht the stock cam and degree it to your liking? The stock cam is great for big power. I only have a cam now because I traded something I had laying around for it=)
