87starcar Posted July 28, 2010 Report Share Posted July 28, 2010 i got rear ended at a stop light by a jeep. the tall bumper broke the taillights the license palte bezel thing ruined the spoiler and oved the hatch up causeing two litttle wrinkles in the roof. awsome! Technology Posted July 28, 2010 Report Share Posted July 28, 2010 I'm always watching the rear view, plus I try to stop a ways back from the person in front of me, that way if I notice someone coming in hot, I can scoot up or get out of the way. 1989Quest Posted July 28, 2010 Report Share Posted July 28, 2010 My car got pounded from the rear at a red light last year. Luckily there wasn't significant damage like in your case. The Farmer's agent came out to assess the damage and the first words out of her mouth were, "my brother loves these cars." That was a relief! I knew she was on my side after that. She suggested my bumper be sent out for complete refurbishment and cut me a check for more than the estimates I initially procured. I hope this works out well for you. I have mine done with a sticker film, and it's impossible to neatly apply (there are wrinkles around the edges) and its quite a light shade. Every time I'm out in the Star I think yep, this might be the time I get hit ... again. I got rear ended HARD by an old guy in a caddy about 10 years ago now. Hit me in the rear hard enough to nose the air dam into the ground and break that too. I was in the middle of having a baseball team wash my car.
