okay so i got a question... i bought another civic hatch as a project car and it didnt come with the original dash or dash vin tag. it did come with a crx dash that i plan to use, but it doesnt have a vin. on my old hatch when i did a crx dash swap i just riveted the hatchback vin onto the crx dash. so i guess my question is do i need the dash vin? its also located on the firewall and in the door jam. if i do need it, am i screwd? thanks.

its a 14g not a 14b but ive never heard of those cars running low 13's from the factory? i know the 98 z/28's ls1's run high 13's. i just copied this off a quarter mile website : 1996 Chevrolet Camaro z28 14.1. soo idk but you can clearly hear its a v8 car when is slowing down at 20 seconds in the vid

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5WT0sFv-IM http://www.youtube.c...r/GreyGoose1994 a camaro that had beaten me in my hatch found out i had another car and wanted to race the starion too its a 96 or 97 auto. they say its a "police interceptor" version and is faster than a normal one. idk about that part. it has a cage in it too. i dont know what all is done to the car sounds like exhaust atleast. this is from a second gear roll until i topped out 4th and let off. my speedo doesnt work right now so i dont really know how fast we went lol. they wouldnt race from 1st gear because he knew id get them. my mods are in my sig edit: click on the link to the youtube account i guess because the video isnt working for me

thanks for the input. the honda has proven to be much more reliable on multiple occasions. and a simple lsvtec with b16 pistons and some decent cams would be faster than my starion. but yes they "suck sooo much".

Yea or atleast the si's should have came with b16's like the 99-00 si's did. But I guess if they came like that there would be no fun in swapping them.

sorry guys ive been slackin on here! the car is coming along nicely. the interior is mostly in and all the windows and seals are in. me and a couple friends got the motor in last night. today my friend is going to help me do all the wiring for the swap. (mpfi conversion) the motor is a jdm b18b with around 60k on it. i need to cut the exhaust off my parts integra and use parts of it and mine to put bolt it to the dc header. i also need to cut about two inches off the integra shift linkage and re weld it up. i just used omni paint on this. i wanted to use a little better paint. but thats all i could afford. the gun i used for base and clear was just a cheapish finex gun 1.4 i believe. the spray booth sucks. theres a nice nova verta right next to this "primer prep" room and its full of boxes... theres some dust and quite a bit of orange peel. i'll sand it though so im not really worried. i think texture might be from the spray booth being so hot? it was hard to get it to lay on right. the spray booth was cold when i sprayed the engine bay and its smooth as glass. heres some crappy cell phone pictures, i'll make a new thread with good pictures when its all done. cant seem to get a correct color of the red with my phone http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa282/jammincrtracer/levief11.jpg http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa282/jammincrtracer/levils.jpg heres a before picture. the paint was like and inch thick and looked like latex paint or something, thats the quarter panel i changed. idk how bad you can see the damage from the picture. http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa282/jammincrtracer/starionwreck030.jpg http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa282/jammincrtracer/levief12.jpg http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa282/jammincrtracer/levief13.jpg oh yea the "cut and bufffed" starion paint lol that someone asked for. http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa282/jammincrtracer/starion135.jpg

MiniSRT4: painting is really pretty easy. speed overlap and distance lol. i have learned alot in the auto body class i take for half of my school day. and no k series for me. i bought a whole integra that needed a tranny for $550. it had the motor the shift linkage axles harness ecu everything i needed. then i bought a tranny for $150. a lot cheaper than a k20 or k24 and im still broke. there is a k20 crx where i live though

and they dont even have honda.

i have the full interior for it i just stripped it before i painted it. its all in decent shape minus the door panels. they are cracked on the top edges. so other than finding door panels and maybe some integra or si seats it pretty much just needs put back together
