Skullzaflare
Nice looking swap! I can't wait to see the finished project. What are you using for gauges? I take it the factory gauges cannot be converted for use with the 2JZ? A couple of questions as I am SLOWLY moving along on my 2JZ swap. 1. What motor mounts are you guys using? Serpent... do you have pictures? You're doing multiple swaps so you must have the motor mount thing down. I thought you said you were modifying the OEM Quest stuff? 2. Has anyone found a way to keep the Cruise Control? My schematics here indicate it uses the ECM as part of the CC system. 3. Anyone keeping their A/C?with where they have to put the radiator i dont think it would be possible to keep A/C
AzStar
Mad-Dax managed to keep his A/C. So I am going to try and do the same. Living in AZ these cars are just too warm (air flow inside) to not have A/C.
Laodicea
Well I had to do some major innovating to get an a/c not the stock stuff...used a Mazda Millenia condenser and custom made my own hoses and hard pipes..I spent about $200 in parts then bent/fabbed/tweaked/shaved/welded/and some more things toget the a/c going. But the freon leaked out after two weeks....it was the end of the summer by then anyways. So yes a/c can be had and everything really looks stock in there. Ron Burgandy
When looking for a fuel rail for the 1000cc injectors, are you staying with the stock rail (i doubt you are) or are you going aftermarket and where are you getting it and the injectors? I have found most of the sources of where im going to get the parts but still having trouble tracking a few down. I Found nice header. Also are yall gettin most of your stuff off ebay and im not sure how ebay works...... never had to use it. How do i know if its a good deal or not? vettekiller593
I use the fuel injector clinic rail. The stock injectors are side feed and the aftermarket are top feed because of more options. You can get their injectors also or percision injectors are very popular. eBay is usually cheapest but one some parts fit correctly. Do a search first to see how the eBay part fits. Become a member of supra forums and most info is on their site. Edited January 22, 2011 by vettekiller593
