i say go unconventional but not gaudy. there's a fine line.

may i suggest audi nimbus gray. It was trendy in the VW scene about 8 years ago but has died out, meaning it's fresh again.

Grey, 100%. Grey with black windows and black rims = pure hottness. I'd either do a tiny bit of flake or none at all.

Black, dude. Black with clear coat so thick it looks like the paint is dripping off the car. Make sure all the panels are flawlessly straight and shoot it black.

I showed him the photos.

 

It's settled I think I think we may end up spraying a few coke cans - one white and one black with the flakes and see which he prefers more

like Tim and others have said , unless you do a complete interior door jams and all inner panel repaint ,stay with the oem color,, black is hard to maintain but more then worth the effort once done

posibly black with red strips like the 68 phy GTX with TSI where the GTX goes
