jd_stazza_brendan
It came tiem for a new daily. The little truck was good, but no creature comforts at all and limited highway ability was its let down.So i bought a 2007 Ford XR6 Turbo Ute.Has a 4L DOHC, Straight 6 motor, VCT on both cams and a Garrett 3045 ball bearing turbo. In factory trim makes 340hp at the flywheel and 354ft-lbs of torque at only 2000rpm with only 5psi blowing through it. With basic bolt ons and tune they make 400hp at the wheels easily.I bought the 6speed sequential auto model. http://sigmaman87.cruisingmackay.com/XR6T/xr6bris1.jpghttp://sigmaman87.cruisingmackay.com/XR6T/xr6bris4.jpg Very overcast, makes the colour look very different.http://sigmaman87.cruisingmackay.com/XR6T/Ute1.jpghttp://sigmaman87.cruisingmackay.com/XR6T/Ute2.jpghttp://sigmaman87.cruisingmackay.com/XR6T/Ute3.jpghttp://sigmaman87.cruisingmackay.com/XR6T/Ute4.jpg Engine bayhttp://sigmaman87.cruisingmackay.com/XR6T/XR6motor.jpg Interiorhttp://sigmaman87.cruisingmackay.com/XR6T/xr6bris2.jpghttp://sigmaman87.cruisingmackay.com/XR6T/xr6bris3.jpghttp://sigmaman87.cruisingmackay.com/XR6T/dashnight.jpghttp://sigmaman87.cruisingmackay.com/XR6T/consolenight.jpg Has 6 stacker cd player, dual zone climate control, bluetooth for phone. At the moment the only mods are second intake snorkel for the airbox and a replacement panel filter.Plan is to change exhaust, put intercooler kit on (on order) and tune it for some more boost. Nice daily driver

nomad
Man, you Aussies get all the cool stuff! Americans think that we have it good when comes to car culture, but we don't even know whats out there in other countries. Ford would never sell that here because it would compete with the Mustang and Trucks for sales.Out of curiosity, what are the newer popular cars in Oz that people mod and customize? For power and/or for appearence?

Ford would never sell that here because it would compete with the Mustang and Trucks for sales.Out of curiosity, what are the newer popular cars in Oz that people mod and customize? For power and/or for appearence? This and the sedan version are a modern day cult car. Theres no other new full size sedan available here with a large capacity turbo motor. Last car that had that was the Holden VL Turbo from the late 80's and thats a cult car. Appart from the XR6, V8 Holden Commodores, Japanese imports (Supra, Silvia, Skyline etc) and minitrucks. This car was looked into being ported to LHD but apparantly it was viable. Motor probably wouldnt meet your emission standards anyway. Here is what the top of the line FPV (Ford Performance Vehicles) sedan model of my car looks like. http://p.webwombat.com.au/motoring/images/fpv-f6-typoon-r-spec-1-big.jpg

BOOSTED88tsi
is there a manual version? Lsd stock right? Sweet whip.
jd_stazza_brendan
There is a manual version. Uses the T56 box. But the 6spd Auto is way more desirable.

jd_stazza_brendan
That car is running more boost and an exhaust. Mines stock for now apart from airbox and removed BOV.In car mine sounds like this , http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4WmIw8Jze8&feature=relatedOutside sounds like , http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8lSNRfYeNY&feature=related Not that exciting, but the stock system is very restrictive. Hoping to go for twin 2.5inch and a large cat converter.Tried a pod filter on it for a laugh yesterday, intake and flutter noise sounded great, but way to much heat in engine bay for a pod so its back to how it was.
