A little confused on these vacuum hoses, I have a diagram and I followed it all the way up to a solenoid valve and a hose that connects to a nipple below the 4 hoses shown on the diagram. I can’t find any diagram that tells me where the hoses go or any solid pics and I was wondering if someone could help me out! Long time admirer but first time owner. Having the car delivered this Thursday. It's a one owner, red, no sunroof, 1987 Conquest TSi, black leather interior, and it's a 5 speed. Hi all,  I am going to replace the fuel pump on my '87 TSi, but the gas tank is currently about 3/4 full.   I am relatively comfortable with mechanical work and have read the topics available but I am still a bit nervous, mostly about the best way to empty the gas tank.  Would someone be willing to describe in detail the best way to empty out the tank? For what it's worth, the pump still works. I've read there's a way to jump the pump from the engine compartment but am not sure ho
