artinist
Evo seats should be relatively cheap to pick up from the junkyards and wedge engineering will have bolt on brackets anyone have a set yet?
jonesh242
Evo seats should be relatively cheap to pick up from the junkyards and wedge engineering will have bolt on brackets anyone have a set yet? Hey Art!...long time. I was curious about the evo seats as well. I currently have a Bride with a custom bracket from Wedge Engineering. Their brackets are bullet proof...$90 cash...a super deal too. BrazilBoy
I had an EVO8 the seats are awesome BUT if you have kids or anyone using the backseats. The EVO seats do not flip forword you would have to crank them forword then crank them back just an FYI....
jonboyb
Do the EVO seats have a standard Recaro mounting pattern. I have a vintage set of Recaro sliders and brackets for a Starion (yes, they did indeed make them) that I've been trying to decide what to do with. nomad
I currently have a Bride with a custom bracket from Wedge Engineering. :thread20jacked8wq: What is the situation with your seat belt receivers with the Bride seats? Were you able to bolt your factory recievers to the aftermarket seats, or did you go another route? Any I idea how this would be on the EVO seats? 88TSI_Rob
I installed Tiburon seats. Got the idea from someone else on here that did it. They went in relatively easy (IIRC 3 out of the 4 bolt holes lined up) and they are much more comfortable than the stock 88/89 seats. Probably cheaper and easier to find than Evo seats too. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/190/497035335_49e4168169.jpghttp://farm1.static.flickr.com/225/497035753_aeb2b718c4.jpg

Guest
what kind of junkyards do you go to? I think he meant "dismantlers" because I highly doubt Pick Your Part is buying Evo's at the auctions. Those seats are not "cheap", Pit Stop Auto Wrecking in Pacoima Ca. has them for $1500 a piece!! So ones definition of "cheap" can be very subjective. Evo's are not cheap at the auctions, even when completely smashed I've seen them go for 3k+. It's not one of those cars that dismantlers buy on regular basis because the parts are not in demand like an Accord or Camry etc.
Fanta
lol - Evo8 and Evo9 seats are not cheap no matter where you go. Buying aftermarket good quality Evo seats are actually cheaper. Edited April 4, 2009 by Fanta
