Fidenza Clutch Adjustment

By heefner,
Memorial day weekend I installed a resurfaced 88 flywheel and new ATC clutch and pressure plate into my 86. When I started it up and tried to put it in gear I had to jam the pedal into the carpet to disengage the clutch. As soon as I took a tinny bit of pressure off the clutch it would engage. I thought it was the flywheel (too much taken off and therfore too skinny) so I bought the fidenza aluminum flywheel and had shipped 2 day air so I could put it in Sat. The same thing happend. Turns
More Engine info for archiving

Well, I just got the TEP Race Prepped Crankshaft in the block.
Went to pick up the block and the machinist had it sitting on the line hone machine. It is a long (4' or so) rod with stones all along the sides. We split hairs to .0005". That's how close to perfect it came out. It was so far out of spec that it would not have lasted long, and Steve at TEP says they line hone all of them now because they found that out. Anyways the braking systems on mercedes have always been very good. They have to be, to stop a heavy german tank. I think that it might be possible use theyre calipers. I have two double pi
Which Wire???
By Ernie88TSi,

I really should answer this question myself, but I can't find my electronics manual right now. Anywhooo...
Which wire on the ETACS unit supplies the 12volt (I assume) signal that powers the windows after the key is turned off, until a door is opened. Basically, what wire becomes live when the ignition is turned on, but goes dead after a door is opened. I'm wanting to do a lil' modifying tonight. If it works properly, I'll post the modification later.
