Mustang 13" Cobra Brake swap
By Convette,
So I picked these up last night for $400. I think I can make them work, its close but the clears the wheels. My biggest concern is the distance from the stock mounting location to where the caliper sits, somewhere around, 1-2" Its going to be a pretty thick bracket. Also they do not fit over the stock hub.. about 2mm needs to be ground off the hub in order for them to clear.. no big deal. Heres a few pics, hopefully I can get going on it tonight. http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/j
Close, but no cigar.
By jwebb2876,
It's RWD, Mitsubishi and the Jap models came with the same G63BT, KM132B, IRS rear end, brakes and suspension as the flatbody Starions, close enough right? lol Anyway, this one has none of that. Carby, cable clutch, live rear and solid discs all 'round. The equivalent to a pov-pack 4G Galant hardtop in J-land iirc. 1981 model Mitsubishi Scorpion. It's a Plymouth Sapporo/Dodge Challenger to you guys. Engine: G52B Astron 80, 2.0L 8v SOHC- Balanced bottom end, zero decked standard pistons, dele
Time to build
By jabbott126,
Ok so about a month ago I was on the the highway and I pushed the quest alittle to hard. It heated up quick luckly I could get off of the highway fast enough before it got really hot but after I started it back up it started knocking. So I'm taking it all apart and redoing everything. So here's the plan Block and heads to the machine shop to be cleaned and honed. New rings, bearings, and gaskets. Already have another set of stock pistions I would like to get some better internals for the head
Tires on Non SHP rims
By scubanut,
Going to be buying new skins for my 87 with 7's in the front and 8's in the back (stock). I want all the opinions as to what works and what doesn't for tire sizes, width, handling, and curbside appeal. I see the fronts can go to 225/50/16, but the backs, some say 255/45/16, 245/50/16, or 245/45/16! Some say that the wider tires make the rear sway/break loose easier. If the rear sidewalls will flex more being a wider tire, why doesn't the front sway more/feel softer? I have qoutes for max
