I've decided to pull the factory harness out of the car so I can eliminate any pieces I don't need. Im going to use the fsm as a guide, but I'd like to get input from others who have done this and who can provide any tips.

How to Clean a Head Gasket Surface   There are many ways to clean a head gasket surface. This is just one way, and it is the method I prefer.   I do not like the use of “rol-locs” for cleaning a head gasket surface, for block or head. How to check a head for warp. The first thing to do is remove all carbon and old gasket material. Then with a machinist straight edge, Check all 8 positions. If .003 can be fit under the straight edge, the head needs to be resurfaced. Also Note the fire ring grooves from the head gasket, if the head has these, and checks flat. Only 2 left here in Hong Kong . Hong Kong spec is pretty much like the European spec but only made 2.0L version only and without the sunroof !
