I just purchased a 1989 conquest for $300.00. the previous owner said the turbo blew  a couple of weeks ago. I haven't got into it yet but here is what I can see wrong so far. Wastgate actuator stuck radiator leaking smokeing exhuast I am going to check the compresion today. I need to find a good parts souce for a turbo rebuild kit or a good used or remanufactured turbo. Any help would be greatly appriciated

for the spair tire i would like to take out that hump in it by cutting it out and putting down just a sheet of metal so its flat in there what steps should i take when doing this, also what to do to keep it from rusting or letting in air? is there anything under that raised part that might pervent me from doing this?

I don't like steering gearboxes. (ok now that we've established that...)   How many people would be interested in buying a conversion kit for a rack and pinion steering wheel for their starquest?   The kit would be based on a readily available rack & pinion <list of common cars w/ rack and pinion here>.  I still have some research to do on which would be best for our car and which common cars have that rack & pin.
