I just got a S16G that i think has too much shaft play and is needing a rebuild before i throw it on my car. Is this something i can do myself and then just have a shop balance it or am i better off paying someone?

Ok, I've got a black 87 flatty starion for sale. The body is in ok shape. there's a dent on each side up front, one right above the tire(left) and one where the blinker light on the right is. There is also a small dent by the right tail light and that tail light also has a hole in it's cover. It's been parked every winter of it's life except one. Its got 86,000 mi on it.   Rust is minimal, the dent on the left front has specks of rust about it and the left taillight has some showing at it's up
