MANY MOONS AGO... An "All Knowing"

person out Cali way (so I thought @ the time) "enlightened" me to what was said to be fact: That an 87' IC was actually better than an 88'-89', even though it has less fins. That it flowed cooler as there was more space between the fins, hense providing more air flow; keeping it cooler. My question: Is this so? What's your take on this. Heeding his word... I purchased a very nicely buffed up 87' IC, but never did the swap/install. I'm getting ready to make some changes on one of my Quests. I sup
Adding Universal Catalytic Convertor to 2.5" exhaust

Hey all! I am going to be going for an inspection soon and I want to add a universal catalytic convertor to my car. When I bought the car, the previous owner had put on a 2.5 exhaust and removed any catalytic convertors. Currently I only have to pass the visual inspection. I don't mind also passing the actual "sniffer" test, either. If I am going to buy and install a catalytic convertor, it should work anyway. I checked on Magnaflow's site and it looks like I can buy a universal catalytic
Any info on this car?

Tranny Gear Oil QTs and Vibration

Waddup Guys I just intalled a used manual transmission and it seem s to shift well, But say I let off the gas in any gear, I hear like a loud vibration sounds that sounds like its either coming from the Rear or theTranny itself. I'm not sure if I put in enough gear oil... I mean I filled it and then let the oil come out until the oil was leveled with the drain plug.. I mean was that the correct thing to do?
