After the oil pump (I think!) took a dump I had to rebuild the motor on my beloved '86 Conquest. I decided to do a bit of a budget rebuild and started with a '88 short block I bought from Brian Arnone (thanks again bro) adding new valve springs, lifters, gaskets, water hoses and a few other bits and pieces to refresh the motor while it was out of the car. I wanted to ask what is the proper procedure when hooking up your A/C system after breaking all the lines off the compressor... I have my ideas but I don't want to damage the compressor,thanks.
