The car hesitates at 3500 rpm feels like you are hitting the brakes I just changed the fuel pump could the problem be not enough fuel pressure or clogged fuel lines or injectors

Why does my 1987 conquest tsi make over 7.5 lb's of boost because I have not done anything mods wise to the car.

I have up for sale a 1987 conquest tsi 5speed black leather interior. The car runs grate I have started to put the car back together. The hood and the front finders and all the lights have been put back on the car. The interior is out of the car it is not hard to put back in the car. I have changed the oil and all the spark plugs and wires and all of the vacuum lines. And the front tie rod ends and front struts and all the brakes have been changed.the car has no rust on it.
