I recently installed a 100 amp stock alternator from ebay. It seemed to charge fine for awhile, but i just recently noticed that it doesn't appear to be providing a charge. I'm wondering, since I removed a lot of the factory harness and relays, if there's something that I need to add back that will regulate voltage or charging? Hi, I hope someone has an idea on this. 88 conquest. When I take off my wideband reads 17 and the car will stall if you don't fanese it until you get under way. Once you get going it runs around 12 to 14. Under boost it runs at around 11-12. We did check the TPS and it appears to be good. I believe it has a Gen 2 with a K&N air filter. It does have a walbro fuel pump and runs fine once you get going. The problem is only when starting out. Hot or cold it doesn't matter. I am looking for some

87 Quest,14g,mbc,89 ECM,steel headgasket,21/2" exhaust,A/F guage,manual boost gauge,HKS SQV, NGK wires and plugs. My issue is this bad stumble or buck under moderate to hard boost. If I feather the throttle to build RPMs and boost, I can usually avoid the big stumble. at what point do you call it quits with a rusted car. the car runs great and drives fine. it is just failing inspection due to floor pans and frame rails being rusted. everything else is fine. it just needs to have the rust fixed. Problem is it will cost me as much as i paid for the car or more. It is one i have always wanted. 89 Fiji. I have to think about this more.   driving me crazy.....
