Coil first.. When i first bought the car i did the standard tune up with new coil, plugs, etc using all the recommended parts from the newbie check. Since then i have replaced the coil 4 times... Just either died or overheated. Just replaced another one today.. Symptoms for needing one: Car died while driving and wouldn't start again, happened every time..   Am i just bad luck or is there something i'm missing...   Next! My main fusible links connection from the battery terminal post is heating

I'm a little confused on some of the research I have been doing about if there is a difference between long blocks. I compression checked my 89 and its about 100 across the board. From what I understand about these cars is that 100 is a little weak. I pulled a motor and trans out of an 86 and was thinking about rebuilding it and putting it in my 89. Is there any issues with this? What is the major difference? I am more than happy to read in the correct thread if someone wants to point me in
