any one have connecting rod torque specs on a briggs 16 hp engine

Hey all,   I am chasing a no spark issue on an 86 widebody. The tach does not jump when cranking. I immediately thought it was a knockbox issue, so I replaced it with what I am pretty sure is a good knockbox, However, it did not change anything. The car has power to the coil. I disconnected and cleaned the connections and relays near and underneath the battery box and no improvement.   Is there a way to definitively test the 86/87 style knockbox? Id love to swap a known good in from a running

I noticed in pics a lot of SQs have a rubber one,but my 89 has a leather one that "looks" factory.Is that just the 89s or is mine after market?

Nice auto trans in good working order with only 102 thousand on it comes with the starter and torque converter.nothing wrong with trans i just have different plans for the car.
