my goals are to   replace the torque Convertor (need to buy one) replace the steering box (bought a rebuilt one already) paint my car drive my car to TX Meet 2014 start on my Red Project Quest (my first car)

Can anyone tell me what this part is i will show a pic of the broken part and where it is located. In the 2nd photo it is where the hole is on the thermostate housing. It got broken inbetween swapping out heads.
