Almost ready ( engine build complete)

I keep obsessing over nit-picky little details, but aside from some fuel lines, this thing is just about ready to get put in place.

Reinstalling balance shafts?

I have an '87 TSi that had quite a bit of work done to it when I was in high school and not much for the past 20 years. I am slowly bringing it back to a more driveable status.
At the time, I had an engine rebuild done and balance shafts were eliminated during the rebuild. Because I didn't do the work, I really don't know what went into their removal.
In my older and more refined age, I'm thinking I might prefer the smoothness that they once offered.

88 Automatic Transmission

Looking to offload my automatic transmission that was original to my 88 conquest. I hate to get rid of any sq parts, but this is taking too much room up in my garage.
It had 98k on it when I removed it. Overdrive band works great (which is the common one to start slipping on these cars). I will say that on very cold days, I noticed some slipping between first and second until the car warmed up.

Antenna Not Going All The Way Down

Goes all the way up every time with radio power. On rare occasion it will go all the way down.
It stops at various height on the way down.
Could this be slipping from worn nylon gear therefore no fix or could it be repaired?
