Hi, I just purchased a 86 Starion with the Sirius Dash head 3x2. I know that the extra 4 valves kick in at around 2500-2600. I believe its a 12v solenoid that activated at that rpm and guessing it opens up a hydraulic system to get the extra set of valves working. Now mine makes a horrible rattling noise as soon as it hits 2500rpm. Almost sounds like rockers too loose or could be the solenoid opening and closing really quick? Hello all! Had the car out today (not driving nearly as much as I would like) and on the way to work, about 5 miles, the car ran great and felt strong. On the way home I noticed pulling out of the office that it felt a bit sluggish. Checking my gauges it appeared that fuel pressure was low (~35psi), normally the car is set to run 43psi.
