87 conquest-my turbo tester
By freebird,
well, I got this cheap conquest and all these turbo's laying around and a little bit of extra time. Really just want to see which is my favorite for the street. I first made this old car run good. love boost the way it was made to.... with a good (95psi max) fuel pump. 89 ecu wastegate held shut as long as possible This is what i ended up with and seemed to max out around 14 psi boost. http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/yy68/jaybirdskate/hp1_zps6ae83f19.jpg Then I honed out a compress
Anyone used the RockAuto Denso fuel pump?
By boostd92,
Going to replace my fuel pump and saw the Airtex and the Denso are favorites on Rock Auto. Did a little digging and saw that the Airtex got nothing but bad reviews about short live and bad noises. Does anyone use the Denso? I'm concerned about the whine from a Walbro, that's why I haven't considered one - the car has just a downpipe back exhaust and 10psi on a stock turbo. I don't plan to go any bigger than a 16G down the line (if at all).
long cranking before start
By Malykaii,
So i used to turn the key and it would start in 5 seconds. I'm chasing a mystery oil leak so I decreased and washed my engine bay the other evening. Low water pressure and carefully where i sprayed. On the drive home I had a couple misfire and stumble moments. Figured water in distributor cap. Went away quickly. Now this morning it takes almost 30 seconds of cranking for it to start. Happens every time. Hot or cold engine. Any ideas?
