Hey guys, how important are the heat shield on top of the turbo, and to the left of it? A bit of an eyesore, at least to me, but if they really serve a purpose and prevent mt car from catching fire (ok ok maybe not that protective but you get my point) I'm fine with keeping em where they are. I have two TEP downpipes for sale.   The story is... I got the first downpipe (with extra wideband bung) and after installation thought it sat too close to the bellhousing of the trans. I installed it to the stock exhaust and it worked fine but I was concerned about clearance. I have original motor mounts and it was causing the stock exhaust to make noise on startup and shutdown.   I contacted TEP and they said they'd ship me out a replacement with better fitment. I won't be needing these parts any longer, perhaps someone who needs to pass smog can use them.   I have a catalytic converter off my 87 Conquest w/88k miles. Doesn't look too great inside but will pass a visual exam if that's what you need. - $30 shipped.   I have a secondary air cannister and the pipe that goes to the stock downpipe.
