    Rear Shelf fix

    Professor
    By Professor,
The rear shelf is made of pressed board with carpet on it. Mine broke in the middle and sagged down. I thought about taking the carpet off and fiberglassing the break. That would be a real pain. The rubber molding on the back edge is hollow inside. I put a 1/4" rod into the hollow molding and the shelf is straight again. If you are trying to get rid of weight, this is not the way to do it. But then if you are trying to get rid of weight, you would remove the shelf anyway.

Can we get a 2-1/2" and/or 3" going? All the way back minus the muffler? I'm ready to buy, how about you guys?

Protect your antenna install a switch..

    By Dcrasta,
I have a kenwood piece of crap stereo, and when I play cd's the antenna rolls up.  I hate that, so I installed a simple rocker switch (SPST) splice it into the wire for the antenna (blue one I think) .  With the switch off I can enjoy my cd's without the antenna flying up.  I usually can get good reception with the antenna down also so I usually just flip it up on the highway.  Allows me to listen to music in the carwash too..

    Dowel Pin in Crank/Flywheel Joint

    kev
    By kev,
If you ever pull off your flywheel, you will see an extra hole for a dowel pin between your crank and flywheel.   Some cars seem to have this dowel pin, others don't.  I personally believe that every car came with the pin installed per the factory but it is frequently tossed on clutch replacements.       Just a word of warning - INSTALL THE DOWEL PIN!!   If you don't have one, buy one.  If you have one already, make sure you keep it when you put your flywheel on.   The normal slop on a bolted
