What size are the threads on our cars? 89 if you need to know the year. id like just a simple round ball with no writing on it or any thing.

Couple of weeks ago, I bought a 1987 Conquest TSi on Ebay. I have no clue on the size of the front & rear speakers. Crutchfield is listing them at 5.25 all around. Im not sure if there were different audio upgrades for the car. I was told my car has tape/EQ and 6 speaker sound system with steering wheel controls. Im trying to stay away from custom work. If I could find speakers that will slap in without any mods, that will be great. Heres what I got so far, (DECK) Kenwood ez700sr, (4 CH. AM
Ball joints?

I'm gonna be replacing some front end components, and since everything's got 176K on it, I figured I might as well change the ball joints, too :-/
Are the aftermarket ones better/worse/same as the factory??? I've got some time to make a choice, just wondering what's better..........

Found cause of noise on 89.....

Well for about a year now my blue ride has made a noise from the rear end when hitting a bump, sounding like something hitting the underside, with the help of my wife giving all of her might pushing on the rear end and me nosing around trying to locate the noise I found exactly where it's coming from, the rear pass. side spring down around the strut housing, it's a clunk/pop type noise when you push down hard on the rear end or when going over a bump.
