Well, the MPI car is up and running, did some tuning on it, but only in the garage at the moment, as I am waiting on the muffler to arrive. Anyway, I seem to have leveled out the flat spots through the RPM band, and she idles real nice, maybe a little rich. KNob is right at 12 o'clock, and according to my AF gauge (autometer) it idles at the last yellow/first green. How much power can you run thorugh the stock alternator?  my amp is only a 400 watt amp and is rated to 40 amps but its never pulled more than 30.  Also ive been told that if i put a capacitor on the system that it will help prolong the life of my alternator.  is this true?
