I got an '87 Starion last month and I'm not having too much luck getting it to run properly.   The first thing I did was get the gas tank cleaned out and reconditioned. Then I replaced the battery, fuel pump, and the in tank filter. I turned the engine over by hand first to get things moving since it had been sitting for quite a while, checked the spark, and then when I tried to start it up fuel started shooting out of the TB from every angle.
