So I have a 1988 conquest 5speed that has been bored over and had the head re worked by the previous owner. Anyway when I bought the car I knew the turbo was leaking because it would puff smoke when I was shifting hard. It has on it a 17c turbo with custom intercooler and air cleaner piping. The thing is I know nothing about turbos, I've traditionally been more of a na power kind of guy. I'm not sure if I should just replace the turbo with a smaller turbo (12a or 16g?) because I hate turbo lag
