I am looking for an 85 / 86 working radio and tape player. I really need one which is good known to be working and was tested or came out working with the last few months or so. Someone who has recently upgraded. Or an adapter kit which you know fits our cars. I saw a 3000 GT radio for sale but did not know if this was a direct fit or not?   Please let me know.   Thanks,   SLim Jim

Completely stock driver. New not jet head 5K mi. ago. No problems there. This has been an irritating problem for a little while now. First It started missing/sputtering worse. I've had a problem to develop on my '87 TSi. It is all stock except for a gutted pre-cat, and full 2.5" exhaust from there back. I have a MBC adjusted to 11-12 psi (judging by the stock boost gauge). It ran fine with this combination for around 1500 miles before the problem started.   Problem- it runs perfect except it won't tolerate boost under about 3500 rpm. Ok, for a few times now, when I come to a light and idle, the RPMs would dip really low and the car would die out. I put it in neutral and the car starts right up then. This happened a few times now this week all the sudden. I can prevent this by pressing the gas pedal at the light to prevent the engine's rpms from dipping too low.   The car has been idling perfect at around 800 RPM and the motor runs perfect with no problems.
