  15. I have a blue front bumper cover still attached to a parts car if you are interested. I am located in North Denver (Northglenn) if you want to avoid shipping costs. I also have a maroon one but i think the blue one is in better shape. Send me a PM with what your willing to spend. I would prefer to leave what is still attached to the bumper and sell it cover, bumper, right fog light and all. I can send pics.
  16. I think I have an 88 or 89. Let me know if you are still interested in it. Otherwise I can take a couple picture so you can see what is missing from yours. I am fairly sure I reconnected everything that was small back to the harness, so I wouldn't forget how it went together. Good luck. You have a lot of work ahead of you.

  19. I have a maroon one if that works
  20. Thanks, that was the problem. The resistance on the one in the car was about 10 fold higher than the one I just installed and when heated the old one didn't become "conductive" as the book stated. Installed one off my parts car and the car starts great and idles like it should on start up. All around runs better.
  21. Accomplished this step a while back, but considering how awful the fuel system was I will try it again. Still open to other ideas as well.
  22. I wish I did the soldering because then I would know who the idiot was that did it and could kick my own butt. However, I bought the car this way. I am seeing some other cheap shortcuts as I make my way through the reviving of a car I have always loved. Hopefully I never pay too much for all the shortcuts.
  23. Looking for some help with an issue I haven't been able to solve. I have an 88 Quest that I picked up that had been sitting for about 6 years. In the process of restoring I have gone through the fuel system, basically new tank, pump, fuel filter(s), and installed a fuel pressure guage (38psi). The car runs nice once I get it started however, it will flood on the first start attempt. My guess is the mixture is wrong at start (not enough air) or the ECU is commanding to much fuel at start up. The injectors are soldered so I don't want to mess with that portion of the system until all other items are resolved. I have been starting the car by having someone crank the car while the fuel pump is disconnected and then connecting the pump. It will fire up with this method. Also it sometimes will start by flooring the pedal before and during engine start up. After the car is warm this issue seems to resolve itself and starts up fine. Thanks in advance for sharing your wisdom.
