  1. Took a look at NAPA too for that model and it also said external regulator.
  2. Put me down for a set exactly the same as those in the picture.
  3. JahJah drop me an email with your number. I will be at the DIY with 2 or three others. I think TurboRaider is coming too. We can all meet up.
  4. I wasn't trying to help anyone sell those parts. I would be ashamed to say they were in very good condition looking like that. If you really want to sell something you should at least clean it up and make it presentable. I have to question the function of something that look that poorly maintained. Name calling doesn't help. The members that have been on here for any length of time know exactly what I mean.
  5. Just tried that link above for Techno Toys and the virus checker immediately reported 2 trojans. Reputable sites don't allow that. They are off my list of possible sorces.
  6. Just installed my brake lines. They are "slightly" longer than the stock. This works just fine because they do not flex quite as easily as stock when turning. The slight difference allows them to work well. Even the guy running the local speed shop that sells a similar products praised the look and quality of them.
  7. I'd be in for auto down for both windows if the price was reasonable. II know you have fair prices, but don't know what the electronics cost. My drivers side switch is getting flakey. I'm going to the Megameet up there in April. Are you going to be around? I'd like to get together if you are. I think TurboRaider and a few others might be coming too.
  8. I hate to contradict you about those parts condition, but the look like they came out a car that has been junked or caught on fire.
  9. I have the kit at the top of this post. It is a KV alternative that is much cheaper. It seems to work well for me. I've had it installed for about 7 months now. You might remember that *DM was selling KV kits and tested this kit. He found no problem with it so I tried it. Now that extra cash went into a new clutch line. More toys for the same $$ works for me.
  10. Just a word of warning. We purchased a fire extinguisher from Wal-Mart after a grease fire. When my grandson accidentally started a fire..the thing didn't work. The extinguisher was only 2 months old and was supposed to be good for a year. The fire inspector said that there is a high failure rate on off the shelf fire extinguishers that are more than a month old. The insurance company agreed. They suggested buying only from a company that specializes in this type of equipment. We asked the insurance company about suing the extinguisher and they said it would be a waste of time and money. Don't rely 100% on them. That being said on my son's old show car we mounted an extinguisher on the passenger pillar with a custom bracket.
  11. Ive had no luck finding Metal Masters for front and rear any more. So, I'm thinking of Hawk HPS or ceramic pads. Has anyone used Hawk pads, and what did you think of them? www.HawkPerformance.com
  12. I agree with Scott87. You are supposed to put down the asking price. That's not too much to ask and lets people know if it falls into a range they can afford without all the PMs and etc. I'm not knocking you Frank. I have bought from you before.
  13. I just got approved for the days off from work. I hope to stay at the AF base and drive to the meet. I'm trying to get a couple of others to go with me. I called ahead to see about some tuning before the meet but haven't gotten a reply yet.
  14. Thanks for the correction. I was out on a lot of megatune sites when I came across this. I'm gonna give them a call and se if I can get some help dialing my stuff in. My old tuner apparently moved and the new guy's tune did not impress me. I hope to be off for this meet. If I can get a really good tune it will be worth the time and money.
  15. I just came across this. It is the Megameet 2009 meet in Georgia. Follow the link for more info. http://www.diyautotune.com/events/megameet_2009.htm
  16. I also like the look of Tuner Studio. I too was asking if anyone had tried it in my post about hooking up the megasquirt thru my wideband. Substock, have you tried e-mailing him about modifying the program to allow inputting a value manually? if enough people ask for a feature he might implement it.
  17. I've been wondering if it was possible to send signal to my AEM 30-4100 and the megasuirt at the same time. It's only wired to the guage now. So I called AEM and they told me to run a wire from the back of the guage to an input that accepts a 0-5 volt signal. They say this will allow me to run both the guage and AFR input on the laptop at the same time for tuning. Has anyone done this? If so could you post install and pics? I already have configured megatune. A second question is anyone using Tuner Studio instead of megatune, and do you like it?
  18. I followed your link and was a bit confused. It looks like you have builds on two different heads after reading all that stuff. Could you just cute and paste what all makes up the build that is for sale. Cut and paste should make it pretty easy and we would have less guessing. I'm sure it is a great buy but in these tough economic times we all want to be sure we understand exactly what we would be getting.
  19. Did these use the stock mounting points or did they have have some other mount? Might be interested depending on your reply.
  20. I enlarged the pictures and there are differences in the under hood pics. I don't know if they are the same car or if he took the at different times.
  21. Just a caution. I had a car shipped back by sea and the entire interior was severely molded by salt water exposure. The electrical connections suffered too. Many times they don't try very hard to protect the vehicle. Insurance totalled it but I lost a car i really liked.
  22. A simple question...I was told by a parts rep who called NGK while I was there that the extended tips are no longer recommended for high boost turbo cars. Apparently sometimes the ceramic breaks off. Anybody else have info on this?
  23. I installed the krank vent alternative Kelly tested. With one installed with a breather on the rear of the valve cover it blew oil out of the lower vent hose. The heavy oil (20-50) was making the valve stick. I took it out and just ran one krank vent and it works fine.
  24. You guys know that RS Autosport has an add on knock sensor module for the megasquirt? I have this module but have not installed it. It is small like a cigarette lighter and black in color.
  25. I mounted mine in the stock coil location to try to keep it away from the heat of the turbo.
