  1. The sequence number is very low. I'm guessing a build date somewhere around August-September of '88. Possibly even July. Just depends on when Mitsubishi did the model year switchover. Tim
  2. Well, I cannot see the video here at the office, however..... I do know what an upstart guy Perry is (sarcasm there) from living in Texas. I've said it before, and I will say it again...this country needs a non-corrupt, altruistic individual to head it up, and fix what the corruption has broken. Good luck finding that though. Whoever that guy is will be assasinated in pretty short order, I reckon. Tim
  3. Wow....there's another one here in town. We should hook up. Tim
  4. UlrichWolf...... Well, I'm as German as the day is long, and the two words sounded good together. It's amazing how many people mispronounce it. The most common is uRick, followed by Ul-rich, and it is indeed...UL-rick I suppose if I change it to UrineWolf it would solve many issues....some folks would be overjoyed, and everyone could remember it, and pronounce it. Tim
  5. I like it. Always liked a good Daytona..... Now, clean it up good, and paint your signature striping on it, and park both cars at a show. "That's a Daytona!" "No, wait, that's a....what the hell is that?" "Supra!" Tim
  6. Yep. Call me...1-800-929-2313. As for Rock Auto suspension stuff....the secret is to watch out for Beck Arnley parts. 90% of the time, it's reboxed OEM. Tim
  7. Gut the converter. It disintegrates, and substrate actually sucks into the engine, and scores the cylinder walls. That's why one guy is telling you to get a new motor. Chances are, there is crap circulating in the oil from a bad converter, and this is causing your start up rattle. I'd prepare for the worst. Tim
  8. With any piece of electrical equipment....check the damn fuse first. The last (bottom) fuse on the right side of the box, I seem to recall. Might be run through two. Worth checking! Tim
  9. God, I hope this is true......because I have been doing some damn good partying in my 30's. Tim
  10. Last a little longer than you figured? Hahahahaha. You DO realize, I intentionally put off moving just because it is a real complain to move out of a 20th floor flat, right? Honestly, I might have moved sooner, if moving wasn't going to be such a pain. The golf course part is great because the crime rates around that area are pretty low. And, believe it or not, it is cheaper than where I live now, when you stack up all the amenities and square footage and what have you. The biggest thing I worry about there is plowing into a errant golf cart that doesn't stop at the golf cart crossing. Oddly, I have friend from back in Texas who lived near a golf course, and had a run-in with a golf cart in the same fashion, except the crossing was across a State Highway. Let me tell you what, an '84 Thunderbird will make a mess of an EZ-Go, but it will total the Thunderbird. Crash protection on an EZ-Go is rather commendable. Tim
  11. Thanks, guys. I think it will be a cool little keepsake to have next to a few of my race and spin-out pics. Tim
  12. It's somewhat of an unprecendented move, Lou......so, we'll have to see. The way futures and oil are dropping, it may wind up working out for the little man FOR A LITTLE WHILE. Prices will fall for a bit, then as the currency becomes MORE worthless, we will see more inflation. I do see one good thing about it....I'bet Wall Street takes a bath, and they have needed to for a long time. Welcome to WalMart, ladies! Tim
  13. We've been setting records left and right in Wichita too. Couple of days...111....113...BEFORE the heat index. Folks, I don't care if it a dry heat, that's just oppressive hot. Burton, to answer your query of why it's a little cooler in the south....there's been a pocket, or bubble of hot air and high pressure sitting smack-dab over the midsection of the country, and we have had no cool fronts strong enough to push it on. What they HAVE done is deform it a little here and there, and made is bulge (if you will) to the east a bit, but then the cool front dissipated, and it more or less snapped back. However, what I see, in the middle of the week, WE will be getting a reasonably strong cold front to move this thing....I really hope it has enough nuts to push it past you guys. You don't want any of this thing. I know we don't always see eye to eye, but I know you work outside a lot, and coupled with Texas humidity...this would be a trip to the hospital. If it comes your way down there....take a few days off. Concentrate on some decals. Something INSIDE. Tim
  14. I am thoroughly enjoying the piece, too. To a columnist....suppressed, silenced.......tomato, to-mah-to..... Tim
  15. I will throw something in the kitty when I get home.....don't trust logging into PayPal on the office computer. Tim
  16. Change is good. It keeps things freash, and happening. You're not still running Windows For Workgroups 3.11, are you? Tim
  17. Guys, after you have all the hard parts worked out.... Check the TPS/ISC adjustment, and follow the procedure TO THE LETTER. Take your time. If you don't understand it, get with me. This is a VITAL adjustment. Check the timing at the same time. I like to use both a light, and a handheld vacuum gauge, but the gauge doesn't work too well if you have a radical camshaft. These two adjustments are how you really fine-tune your car. Remember, the manual gives a range, because not every engine likes the same thing, what with production tolerances, and what have you. Tim
  18. I keep it in the fridge, because it's not so much a condiment for me, as it is a cooking ingredient. Sloppy joes, meatloaf, etc.....same with the dijon mustard, and other condiments. Plus it cleans up my counter space, which with some of the cooking items I have, is already at a premium. Tim
  19. I have torque tube bearings in stock, every day. As for hard parts, they are all NLA, except there WAS one complete torque tube left in the country last I checked. Likely gone by now. Tim
  20. But I keep saying...mine blew up in Wichita! The only common denominator is the heat. I do wonder though.....what sort of temperatures can, or should we expect atop the fuel tank? Factor in the exhaust system, heat rising from the pavement, and low airflow atop the tank, all coupled with a 105 degree day. Explains why the luggage compartment in my car was probably hot enough to melt lead ingots. While we're on the subject, Meyerhoff and I were talking, and my pump has 40,000 miles on it, which Mike thinks is acceptable life cycle for an aftermarket pump. Not that I don't trust what Mike says, however, is this considered the lifetime of the pump? If so, I will start keeping a spare on deck. What do you guys think? Tim
  21. Yes, this will be on Friday, July 1. I will PM you my mobile number when I get home. Tim
  22. Since I have heard absolutely nothing from any Branson crew about joining up along the way, I will be re-ordering the route and stops for the Wichita convoy. Going south takes an extra hour, and if no one is going to join, why take the extra time, right? Dred, I think we will still go through Calvert City, KY, and I will keep you posted of any changes, since you actually did reply. Tim
  23. Check the little clips that hold the brake pads in the mounts. When they are missing, you get all sorts of funny noises. Tim
