This is a cool build mayne. Just too bad Mitsubishi doesn't have their own v8 then thought would have been the shiznit. Maybe some custom valve cover that say something like ToyBish well you get the picture. I am in the same boat as you I have been toying with the 2.6 and now want to move forward.

i didnt want to clean anything until i was going to put the car on the ground, so i can roll it out to the hotsy. its hard to resist, i am doing some inside work while i wait for the flywheel/ clutch.

as for being a V8, i will just say its a mitsubishi engine if anyone asks.

i tried and tried and tried to make the stock cross member work without cutting it to make it fit.

Well i cut it! removed and reinforced the old nasty lumpy humpy factory mounts.

ended up using the factory mounts on the Uzzi though, there just vertical arms that bolt to the block

under the Headers. and i was searching and searching for mounts, this and that, i really wanted some kind

of poly for a bit of a cushion, calling places and looking on ebay, i ended up finding this article

NICO forums how to make motor mounts

and i tell you what!! for 40 bucks i went to Grainger and bought the Devcon, and i used some factory bolts

off...something, spaced them about 1/2" head to head, welded a slit washer to each, and basically made the same thing, except mine flex. And i only

had some ergonomic square beer cups...

passenger

and now just more to measure, angles and suck. make sure the oil flows in the right direstion when the car is on the ground,

as you can see now that the factory lumps are gone from the Xmember i have a very simple mounting system to make.

and yeas the steering box is CLOSE, but it does NOT hit, thats the angle of the camera, and the engine is not UP where it is

supposed to be. more to come

pretty simple, the time it takes to harden is a bit long, but its very tough stuff.

LS1..T56 most tempting

EJ25 too, motors out, time to measure and get some numbers, do some comparison.

Roberto, it's official that you must now out-swap Yokomosquest.

1GZ-FE.

Google it.

Oh yeah the mighty 12 cylinder beast...I love it but its a flippin huge motor..I saw a swap into a supra that required putting in the rad in back so they could shoe horn it into the front....

Here it is I found it Smokey Nagata did this flippin amazing swap....

Find one, and I'll drive to CO to help you put it in.

Serious.

I know a guy who can get one from japan direct.....Thats gonna be a tight tight squeeze....Plus I am concerned about weight even though its all aluminum its still gonna be a nose heavy !@#$%..

Sounds just as expensive and hard-to-find as the W8 4Motion Passats in the US. They're out there, but not often do you see one.

Hell I think there's more Skylines in Utah than Starions and Conquests. No joke.

I've really been thinking about a 2JZ though ... I've got a W58 trans, and can probably get a 2JZ-GE for dirt cheap ... The sound of a sixer gets me going, that's for sure.

It'll fit. The 2JZ fits, and the 1UZ fits.

The 1GZ-FE is a 60* V12, and is narrower than the 90* 1UZ.

I've only ever seen one for sale twice, just the motor for $6K, and a Century front cut for around $10K.

HMM.....ok now you got my brain going........
