omg, there that smooth?!?!?

put a quarter on a G54b and you will loose it into a sea of hoses and wire, never to be seen again.

Yup and 6 bolt mains too...They are near indestructable btw..

This is why they are soooo smooth its a detuned race engine...

BTW I was planning on doing this swap but can't afford it till the wife is done with nursing school...So yes there will be another quest with a 1UZ eventually...

Just for the sake of the thread, the 1UZFE has been swapped into a SQ before.

A supercharger would be the easiest, but i'd try everything I could to get two small-ish turbo's in there instead.

ITB 1UZ.

Don't forget the 2UZ's(4.7L)...

there is so much info on the 1UZ engine, and support, and parts are easy and priced well. this is what im most likely doing now.

its stupid simple to just pick up a used 1UZ http://www.attarco.com

http://www.attarco.com/images/1UZ_S.jpg

already found a r154 tranny, the adapter is not hard to source.. thats a hell of a start.

plus its been done in a starquest already. now i can just do it my way, with a plasma cutter and a tig. and lots of 304 ss piping.

oh and btw, thank you for the input JP, you always have been my hero :D your support means alot, and Brazilboy for forcing me into this...

I have worked that bit out aswell..remove the gas tank, add a fuel cell, and you'll have plenty of room for this..

http://www.eastcoast....com/turbo.html

I think there would be no need for an I/C as the plumbing forward would desipate the heat....

Good Luck Roberto

i seen that kit on an 03 Firechicken, works great, but its liek 3 days of install, cause there drivers side exhaust is so tight.

making custom headers is nothing, i actually want to, and intakes, look what we did for the KZ bug:

they only thing that seems hard, is teh trans adapter.

but i mean engine for 500, tranny for 500, sourced a sweet adapter from England, came out to about 900 USD ("for the adapter kit").

how much do u think the entire swap is going to cost you? what about if you keep it n.a no turbo or TT or s.charged?

:) with everything done by yourself i am guessing ? i wanna know how much to save up, lol, and what are you going to do for EMS?

500 engine 1uzfe(actual)

500 trans R154

1000 clutch trans and adapter

500 EMS ( MEGASQUIRT)

that should be the chunk of it. figure about $125 per header in 304 SS, say 300 full exhaust

THIS IS ALL ROUGH ESTIMATE

this pic answered about 10 questions on fit and placement

ill get prices tommarrow. im pooped tonight

yeah its kinda scary to think what it does under boost lol

Its supercharged so it wouldn't have heavy boost surges like a turbo and the pressure is fairly constant at most likely no more than 7 or 8 psi....So it would work....longevity is the question?

i don't think i have the need to see what is going on inside the intake. be cool for a dyno session or something.

kinda think i would do itb's after i figured out what people do for the setup. id also love to do side exhaust, like coming out of the quarter panel behind the doors.

Dude stop reading my mind...lol
