The red car is my back-up, the blue car is kaput, going to sell it as a roller or part it out. sad only cause i had it 11 years.

jwrape
I think a 350z engine would be a great swap... Just about 300hp stock and with a Turbo, you can't go wrong.

Jsmitty
Actually besides the Toyota 1uzfe, a Nissan vh45de would be a hot swap, engines are cheap to buy like the 1uz. You can use a Z32 trans NA or TT and flywheel and Mazworx makes adapters for the S13/S14/Z32 guys.So some custom mounting and driveshaft will be required. Stock VH45de puts out 280hp and very strongly built up until about 94 or 95 when they started using thinner rods. Plus Nico board has posts where people use the 93-95 ecu with an eprom and burning chips using an emulator. Basically like Jackal is to DSM's now. There are people putting out low 400hp with just 7 lbs mildly tuned. The only real big expense is when going to forged internals.

yokomo
Randy what are you doing for the flywheel? few options. there is http://www.quantum-auto.com/ who dohttp://uza70.com/store/catalog/images/1uzAluFly.jpg http://uza70.com/store/catalog/images/1uzStlFly.jpgalum ans a steel and use supra clutch http://www.alloyrace.com/products/c11/Flywheels who does a alum or steel http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/8444/img5470uj5.jpg http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r314/IntegrityTX/_MG_8277.jpg http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/ss256/ozmanny/TAR/5%20Speed%20Conversion/DSC04054Large.jpg uses toyota hilux type clutch there is a few cad files to make your own. im more for the NZ made flywheel, based on there outstanding rep. the Us guys have a bad rep, thanks to alot of reading and some help from a member. i dont think id need an Alum but i mean id use it. found out toyota uses the same wiring for the reverse switch, so that works, the speedo cable, screws right in from the starion into the W58, hope that works, the output shaft ALMOST works lol, that would be to easy.what do you guys think?Bill, do you do flywheels? Jsmitty
I agree on the flywheels from AUS. They may cost more but they are better made. A lot of the US ones for this application were trying to use redrilled 3vz flywheels as far as the steel ones go. Or they would heat and press the ring gear from the 1uz flexplate onto a 3sgte flywheel. Bullet has some good stuff for 1uzfe.http://www.bulletcars.com/ This pic from thor racing is sic.http://www.thor-racing.co.uk/images/THOR_UZ_Race_Engine2.JPG
BrazilBoy
Man with those ITB's it will sound like an F1 car...can't wait...
