running the stock LS400 alternator, oh i dont know the specs offhand but it should be OG for the job.

and Thank you BrazilBOY i totally just read that and it changed my idea on simple over succulent.

Actually megaSquirt will control the fan via the CLT sensor and i will separate relay it or THEM in.

Check this crap out right here. no more single huge resivor for the brakes, now it's minis

the black things are giant zip ties  , havn't done hangers yet.

was fooling around with where to possibly put some gauges! would it be a no no to have 2 external mechanicals on top od the rain tray above the wipers?

Sheeeeiiit son, notch that radiator support and tilt the rad. I know you ain't scarred to cut. :)

Hottest it got after 10 mins was 147*F

seriously i think a single 12-14" pusher is gonna do it, there some low amp universals at autozone that look all nice and pretty.(all black)

i already cut that support out once, i don't think my hood going to shut either with out some notching. or a latch.

besides man i just had jeffery make some sick 304 stainless Hard pipes for the rad, i gotta use them, they look BALLER.

HACK ON A TSI, NEVER! all stock 4 life!

yep i saw and read the complete write up on that build, how he put hundreds of hours into it as NA, then wrecked and rebuilt it with boost. think he paid like 3500 for the TRD supercharger. Yet i have only 2200 invested in my Entire swap. Don't get why the TRD supercharger is so much.

Have to admit, it is cleaner that a new car, and a heck of a lot cooler ^_^

i was looking at a E30 setup, and a Benz diesel rig. tempting

Man this is one bad swap! I was up til 2:30am reading this thread. I've done a chevy v8 swap, and a 302 swap. I think this is my next project! One question though, why didn't you use a early model wiring harness and ecu? I found a complete running '91 sc400 for $500.

Great job!

i used megasquirt for the fact that i can tune in some more HP, tune out some limiters, and also adjust my timing and fuel curves to my liking. plus it was pretty cheap lol.

as to your pm, go ahead and do the swap, id like to see what someone else would do diff, i did change my mounts to something stronger and more round. yeah i just used hockey pucks

car drives & shifts great, runs flawless, even leaves some tread on the road when you smash on the pedal in the first few gears. i (we) think its right about 300hp to the wheels right now, thats what i want, no real need for anymore. some dyno time to come, working out of town for a bit so i will come back to it this weekend.

not really a'lot left to do. trying to get the stock gauges to work, i think its as simple as using the correct sending units. i might have cut the coolant temp plug off, but i have the oil press still ( i can tell cause its all oily and stinky) have to dig through 2 hours of post in the electrical section, i don't dare start a new topic and get yelled at by burton or someone.

Lots of these guys want to see it turbo, meh i'm tempted but i'm not. N/A is pretty beastly so far. besides i have half the itb s*** already. unless i itb and turbo.

Didn't really build it as purpose built drag car or anything, just wanted a quick street car, for a reasonable build cost.

I will get some pics up later, my friend said he was kinda buffing the oxidation out of it after work for a few nights this week, was gonna do the stock rims up a wee bit

maybe get another set of springs, the rate on these cosmos is not what i want. ( what are they anyways 400lb?) looking to get stiffer :o

front sway bar needs some modding, i tried to build drop perches and trick the front end into being prone, it didn't work, make the front LCA's stay flat and not have any negative movement. last option is to extend the swing arm so it goes around the oil pan and not under.

fail attempt to lower sway bar

the little fan, that push's 2300 cfm on 4 amps

I guess for the price you can't beat the Mega Squirt. Love the motor mount! :D On the guages can't you just drill and tap another whole in the a cooling passage and run the stock starquest sensor? Is the v8 setup to use the same coolant sensor for the gauge and ecu? And maybe put a t-fitting fitting to use the stock pos oil pressure sensor?

I don't know if I'll go turbo or not. Really just looking for a nice daily driver. I have a '90 mustang (along with everyone else in the world) That I did a mod swap and sn95 dash swap. It's just everyone has a mustang. I think there are only 4 Starquest on island (Hawaii)right now.

Sorry I won't tie up your thead anymore. Keep us posted.

2200 cfm, pusher or puller. 14"

@TSI_law there is still a stock single prong sender on the coolant passage i might get away with using, the ecu reads from 1 of the 2 factory 2 wire coolant temp sensors, but might swap out the one im using to a gm sensor.

T fitting in the oil sending unit is a good idea, i can run a mechanical and a starion sender that way.

though i did do the power steering setup today,

this stuff is good to 2200 psi, teflon, carbon core, Overkill, i like overkill!

found some metric threaded mm to -6 fittings for the old slush box, new teflon o rings and plumbed in

http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o249/yokomo99/red%20car%20related/Photo1110.jpg

i just used Parker push-lock for the return side low pressure

http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o249/yokomo99/red%20car%20related/Photo1108.jpg

now the toyota pump calls for Dexron atf fluid, what does the starion box use?

started to buff the paint out a bit, i really do enjoy buffing, i actually get into it and kinda zone out
