How many you say? Over 700 cars, and 1200+ people showed up for this event in the rain Meanwhile, Motorsports Nationals had crap for attendance. Just goes to show you how a car scene will come together when corporate beauracracy invades, and how much support and love the people in the south have for the cars ( some ppl came as far away as Illinois for this ) Pictures! A lot of these cars just don't do it for me. you gotta remember this was posted by a canadian. seriously, weve got a ton of ricers here in the atl. and this show pretty much catered to them. afterall, they did call it tunerfest. even the shop that put it on is primarily a honda shop and here is the ultimate piece that will tell you its all about rice. NOPI is the money group behind it. rice rice rice and more rice. i didnt make it because of the rain but im sure there was some good stuff there but largely i can assure you it was a rice patty. There was another show going on called Motorsport Nationals - with a date already set - as soon as the date for Tunerfest was set back in July, MSN ( which is the replacement for the NOPI show ) moved to the same day as TF, signed onto IA, and basically said good luck with your show, but we'll have more cars than you ever will. Really an south end of a north bound donkey move on their part. So the owner of IA turned around, made the show/dyno/cookout 100% free - basically to really not only to accept the challenge, but to give back to the scene. Admission to MSN just to look for one day was $50 BTW - Grant according to Joe and my sister, there actually wasn't much rice at all - I'm still waiting for puregroove to upload his photos online, but not many people take photos of 800+ cars when there's 1500+ people around in an industrial complex that is only supposed to hold 700 cars tops in the rain Edited September 20, 2009 by Fanta Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
