Everybody sitting at that table won something.....except me.....LOL

Now now don't be hatin.

We're still here. I'm posting from d*** Clark's American Bandstand Cafe right now. We checked out the 57 museum as well as taking the Titanic tour. I made about 1/2 of the cruise to Eureka Springs (didn't feel like pushing the old girl that hard with 1200 miles comin up tomorrow) so I came back to see if we could help technology get his car on the road again. We ended up going for lunch me d_venable, technology, and monkey. After that a trip to the dam for some absolutely gorgeous pics (a few even had my car) and then the greatest game of putt putt with us 4. That actually ended in a phone casualty (R.I.P. to d's poor little cell).

Yeah i'd say you guys that didn't make it missed a hell of a time.

Thanks for showin up Ryddler. Nice to finally meet the man behind the board.

I just made it home myself about an hour ago. The cruise to Eureka Springs was awesome!... once the local traffic got out of the way.

My hats off to Ulrich, Meyerhoff, and Jolyrgr. These guys busted their butt for this event and it shows!

and anyone that has a video of this run i would love to see it, i know John has a couple. that was the first run i had and got a good reaction time and a hell of a launch. phinko caught and passed me obviously but i got the win in the 1/8 mile we were running, if it would have been a quarter mile i would have been about two cars behind phil as he crossed the line.

as the track cooled down i couldnt get traction for nothing.

my run against phinko was a 9.181, phil ran a 8.928, but my reaction time was a little better so i actually got the win.

best RT: .6855

best 60ft: 2.105

and why in the heck hasnt anyone posted a video of this yet.

this goes out to my homeboy DAVE, dave BY FAR was the life of the party. followed by Dmeyers (also known as "the running man") who had a strange obsession with catching a local cat....lol. man meyers can run like the wind.

anytime there is a meet, i hope i can ride down with dave and john again. we had a great time hanging out with them this weekend. i sooo tried to get a Z06 vette to race me on the way home....no go. got a colbolt ss to go but thats no fun.

for 700 miles on the way down daves car puked oil all over the front of my nice pretty fresh paint due to a bad sealing valve cover gasket. we spent the whole weekend ripping on our cars, drag racing them, doing burnouts and of course dave loves to drift. but daves car bless its little heart made a longer journey then mine, and has been more places then i can imagine. dave smoked his clutch 2 seconds before we left to head back home and that car still made it back home.

here is some TRIBAL FUSION love.

Man, where do I begin?!

First off I have to thank Tim, Mike and J.R. for putting this meet together, it was well organized, but still allowed us our freedom to do as we pleased in the area. The location was superb and Larry, the gentleman who owns Area 57 was sooooooooooo cool. He watched me tear up his parking lot and gave me an ice cream sandwich for doing a good job! I have to thank John for risking life and limb in both my vehicle and the escapades we got into this weekend, his shin is about two sizes larger than it should be after coming in contact with a fiberglass seat in a certain tram... Bryan and Candi, you guys were awesome people both to convoy with and room with. No one busted my balls more than Bryan all weekend and we all got a good laugh out of it. He was the parts guy and literally had a whole SQ in this hatch and our bedroom. Oh, P.S. his car scoots for TBI! PDog, thank you for letting us room with you and for the entertainment Thursday and Saturday night, I hope your liver will be able to recover.

I had a wonderful weekend with all of you guys. Everyone had a smile on their face and people socialized all day and all night. Thursday was a great start to the trip. Our convoy was hell bent on winning the convoy competition and we went to great lengths to get every possible picture or item on the list. We tried getting into showers, get pictures of fast food workers, pictures of SQ's in every possible position and beyond. The coolest part of the whole drive was stopping at the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. I got some nice pics of the car under the arch and got some sick pics of it on a cobble stone street down the road. We were taunting this riced out galant on spinners down the main drag along the river. Thursday night we arrived in Branson and the festivities got under right away. Paul was already drunk, Dale was on his way, John and I jumped on the bandwagon as did many other members. I was happy to get the meet started so fast. I enjoyed seeing old friends like Harry and Tim when I showed up as well as finally shaking PDodson's hand for the first time.

Friday was a blur of fun!! We got up, went to breakfast, then to the store to get some supplies. John and I found a roundabout by the Walmart that I had to drift. Later was when I tried three-wheeling the car on bags, but turned it into the smokeshow you saw above. I can't go anywhere without leaving my mark. I was also very happy to see others follow my lead during the weekend. The drag strip started as a disasster since no one knew who we were or why we were there and their quarter mile timer was stolen. After some organiziation by myself and Rob (Outlander) we got the group into the staging lanes and out for our first runs. We stayed until 11p and I was able to get about 7 runs in that night. Fastest I laid down was a 9.1xxx with a 2.0 60' @ 13psi. Not bad for an untuned MPI and untested suspension. Friday night was CRAZY! John and I went through 3/4 a gallon of captain, Dale was hammered, I mooned Allen AND Brendan in AU via the webcam up on Area 57. We "borrowed" and "test drove" a tram at the top of the hill about 4am and sat in the parking lot until the sun came up. I passed out in my car after John and Dale shot me with water guns. I woke up Saturday morning at 8am, in my car, windows up, sunroof closed, and doors locked.

Saturday: After I woke up in my car I went back to the room and woke Paul, then slept until about 11a. The car show was nice and at one point a gentleman comes up to me and says,

"Nice group of cars."

"Yeah, " I say, "it's our national meet."

"Oh yeah? Well my name is Bob..."

"I'm Dave, nice to meet you.."

:shake hands:

"...aka ryddler..." he slips in.

This was literally my reaction:

:eek1bluegreen:

"OMG! I had no idea! Nice to finally meet the man who started this all!"

The rest of the day went by quickly, I won a bushing kit and a D_Venable LED 3rd brake light in the raffle as well as the Rust Rocket award. We watched Special Stage that night on the outdoor movie screen thanks to Gary. :D

Sunday morning we packed up and left. I attempted a 2nd gear burnout on the way out, but it didn't go as well as planned. The tires stuck and the clutch didn't. I got the smoke I wanted, just not from the intended components.... :/ The car still made the 800 mile drive back to MI without a problem, but not being able to boost about 3psi really made for a tame drive home. Bryan had fun taunting me and other cars on the road the whole way.

All in all I am very happy I finished the car in time and am super happy the car proved itself on the long journey. The air ride held up well and rode much better than anyone anticipated.

Thank you for a very memorable weekend everyone!!

-Dave

Well I guess I'm the last to leave. I headed to area 57 after packing up and checking out. I ran into d_venable and technology and another guy I have NO idea what his name on here is. Watched as phinko and dan_brew took to the road in their nice ac trucks. Me and monkey headed to breakfast as the other 3 hit the road. A little shopping and we're finally on our way for the 1200 mile return trip. I'll post up my pics when I finally get home and rested.

Dave, I think my convoy was your only competition in the scavenger hunt but it was definitely fun. We tried to get as much as possible (1 freakin stuckies on the way and we missed the exit...) anyways everyone keep your fingers crossed for the red dragon. Hopefully no more issues.

Colin,

Thanks a bunch. I can't express how awesome it was to meet such a great group of people and see all of the really cool cars. I could really tell how tight everyone was, but you all really made me feel welcome. By the way, the venue was spectacular and a huge thanks to Tim, Mike and J.R. You guys really knocked it outta the park. Can't wait for the next one!
