If he changes color from red he will have to do a lot of extra work to jam it, paint the hatchback area and the engine compartment.

I don't know if you noticed but the whole car is in primer. And judging by the quality of this work I dont think a color change will slow him down. Everything about this car is a lot of extra work! This is the sickest starions I have ever seen and the work is top notch. I don't even own a starion any more but read every single on of these posts!

This is easier than I thought it was going to be!

yeah its def not going to be red. I'm thinking like a 70% black/grey gunmetal. PPl are saying its going to be too hot inside, but I don't really care. The windows are 5% tint, and the roll down...so..lol Any ideas? The car might just endup white someday, so I'm trying to get rid of all the red on the inside.

Thanks NL. for now the exterior is staying red, and I'm only going to do one color on the inside. I love white too, but for the inside it will get dirty too quickly. I looked at a few paint samples today, found a nice medium gray metalic I kinda like.... Idk. Need to make a decision by thursday.

John, this is what I'm looking at, lol (last year picture right before storage). I threw away the entire firewall last year. It got scrapped with a lot of other metal for a few pennies. I got burnt out last year on the car and threw it in self-storage. I'm towing it out tomorrow after almost a year to start on it again. Can't decide whether to mount the engine or start on the brakes (going to run the tri-cylinder Wilwood or Tilton setup - probably Wilwood as it sounds better, haha).

if your going to run the reverse pedals I wouldn't worrie about them right now. I would mount the engine and trans. That dictates a lot about were things are going to end up. Looking back on it, I wish I cut my whole ish out like yours, woulda made things a little eisier. Get going man, make it happen.

what did you ever decide to do about the chassis wiring harness?

i just decided to use a more "complete" donor and the original fiji is just a roller.

if you do use a stock harness over, be careful man, lots of grounds and brittle clips, but man its alot easier to just plug stuff back in under the dash than actually run new wires.

right now i'm trying to figure a way to use the stock temp and oil press gauges and speedo. Tach works through EDIS, but the speedo needle is buried below the 0, so not sure yet.

whats your ideas on wiring?

Love it. Color looks good. How did that paint gun work?

It worked great to get in all the little areas, but I felt like it used a lot of paint really quickly.. I don't know, maybe it was just me but it felt like I was filling it up every 2 min. It was a huge help though for sure.

well, I'm really leaning towards a painless race car harness. Its easy but costly. Since I'm not using any of the origional stuff, I just want to keep it simple. The enigine is going to be run by a cleaned up 02 camaro harness and PCM, I just got to get everything connected... I'm not looking forward to it at all. Wirings just not my thing.
