With a base price starting around $7,500.....I have a hard time believing he paid $16,000 for it.

This one's loaded with TONS of options....and it stickers for about $11,500. Has A/C, 440, "tufted" leather...pretty much all of it.

Perhaps gramps was upside down on his trade and his total loan came out closer to $16k. Or his total of payments after paying interest and all, could have come out to $16k.

Dad,

after seeing that van, do you go to local parks and watch kids play? OR, are you a frequent customer of the personal pleasure providers that are normally found on sidewalks?

It's full of "Candy" LOL

I was thinkin "The A team" with that wan.can hear the theme song in my head now.Where's B.A. Baracus and the other guys?

I wish my 88 starion was still worth what it was new.I would sell it in a second and have some fun money.Take a vacation. Since it's in good shape and low miles you mite get $1000 for it.

Wish I could get new price for my 325.IDK what it was in 1986 but sure could finish my starion.unfortunately is listed for $500 in value.Worth far more to me though.

While a very nice car Im sure, especially with 21k miles, right now, there isn't really a market for that car.

The big boom right now is early 70s cars, and, even so, the big Chryslers are still going for cheap. I know a guy that just got a 1968 Chrysler 300 Convertible, 440, 727, 40k original miles, no rust to speak of, only needed paint, and it went for 12k...which was a little high. And, a 68 is much more desirable right now then a 78...however, their time will come...but, it will probably be a while.

So, I think 6k, to be honest, is a fair price for it.

Sucks, yes, but, thats about all I see you'd get, unless you found that right person.

Yeah, I admit, I would love a '78 New Yorker. Have to a Brougham, with 440, and every option.

And NO YELLOW!

Tim

P.S. My dad's best friend had a 78 New Yorker Brougham coupe. 440, every option, and piss yellow. I loved it and hated it at the same time.
