Tim_C.
Yes, that is what I found too. The plates raise the front 1". I recommend the Eibach's. I road extensively in a car with them. (Klube's car) That thing handles like a dream, and is lowered more than 1" in the front. You can't beat the look his car has. We took a cloverleaf off ramp on boost and that thing held like glue.
89PalermoSHP
I've got the MOOKEEH camber plates with NOS Tokico Blues (front and rear) and now need to drop all four corners. Will the Eibach Pro Kit springs provide sufficient drop? I was thinking I needed a 1.5-2.0" drop in the front (although I think they only drop 1.0 in the front and 1.5 in the back). Would I be better served getting the TEP springs that drop 1.25 all four corners, or will the Eibachs do fine? I love the camber plates but am concerned how to maintain correct ride height with a strut/spring/camber plate combo. Thanks, mnriggs I dont think you will know how much it will drop with certainty until you do it. The problem being is that there is no way to adjust height in your case. Ive got oem strut mounts and eibachs(along with new KYBs) and I am very pleased with the drop and the eveness(if thats a word) of the front and back. My camber numbers are off a little but Im not too concerned since I only put 2-3k a year on it.

BMWTech
I was a little upset to find out the MK1 plates raise your total ride height in the front by just over 1", with out any talk of this in the GP. Anyways I took another look at all the parts and I came up with away to maintain full use of the plate and drop about 3/4" of the 1" increase. I will do some final measurements after I take some pics this weekend to show how I modified the plates. It was fairly simple and takes about 20 mins per plate with the correct tools. BMWTech
Ok sorry for the delays; I got it pretty much figured out. Now I dont know if the drop will be enough for stock suspension, my goal is to make it work with the Eibach pro-kit once I get them from the GP. Now I measured the difference in Stock height to Mookeh's Front camber plate to be just over 1" at 25mm. I was able to flip the adjustable piece, still mount it from the underside so it can be adjusted from the engine compartment all by shaving about 1.5-2mm off the the side of the adjuster to make it fit and move within the plate. Here are some pics of my modified one vs the original Mookeh plate. I was able to lower a little less that 1/2", 7/16" to be exact. I'm hoping w/ the 1.5" front drop vs the 1" rear drop from the pro-kit that it will look pretty even. Here are the pics. Enjoy http://i613.photobucket.com/albums/tt217/bmwtech7/photo.jpg http://i613.photobucket.com/albums/tt217/bmwtech7/photo-1.jpg http://i613.photobucket.com/albums/tt217/bmwtech7/photo-2.jpg http://i613.photobucket.com/albums/tt217/bmwtech7/photo-3.jpg Measured height on Original Mookeh Plate http://i613.photobucket.com/albums/tt217/bmwtech7/photo-4.jpg Measured height on modified plate http://i613.photobucket.com/albums/tt217/bmwtech7/photo-5.jpg Let me know what you think, I can provide more pics if needed. I used a cut off wheel to machine the bulk of the material off, then file and a cookie wheel to finish it off. -Neil
v8starion
Nice Idea. Just to be safe I think you should check with mookeeh about the bearing. Most spherical bearings are only designed to take a thrust load from one side. If this is the case with those(I think it is) You may have a serious problem after some use. BMWTech
I will send him an email about it. I took a good look at how the pillow balls were constructed and looks to me like it wouldnt matter which way you loaded them... I will find out for sure though. macrophage
Its possible that he didnt put them together correctly--maybe its suposed to be that way--wierd. maybe the OEM mounts have a natural sag to them that he didnt account for--they are rubber.
