Interesting, because I have been considering doing the same thing to my '88 Starion, ESIR, SHP when my 13 year daughter turns 16. I want to eliminate the turbo. Sje consideres my Starion her "STAR."

BUT I would: eliminate the turbo and all of the associated plumbing associated with it, and change the exhaust manifold/waste gate plumbing to a Caravan system and to mate it to the stock Starquest exhaust system, before she got it.

That is to keep her, or her boyfriend (jjjeeessseee I hope she doe NOT let HIM drive it, I remember what I was like when I was 16) alive!!

For What It's Worth.

KEN

SORRY :thread20jacked8wq:

PSP: Do you know what God's payback is for all of the back seat "STUFF" teenage boys pulled when they were teenagers? He gives them a daughter as their first born child!!

^^^ keep your quest and buy her a civic, that way the "boyfriend" won't tear it up

I was going to say the same thing. Civic. Cheap. Reliable. Cheap to fix. Has airbags.

He may just not be showing you the hat that goes over the carburetor. He doesn't need a filter over the turbo inlet but it would be a very good idea maybe its just removed so you can see it. You can run a turbo with a carburetor. There was a turbo carbureted 2.0 and 2.6 engine in the Sigma before the Starion existed that base 2.0 engine is in this ebay truck that nobody wants -the g52b. Seems like someone other than me would want to be different and use that older setup in something even if its a turbo for that old truck. Too many people copy and do the same dang thing.
