Indiana
they called it twin stick, its just a 4sp but you use the other like the lever in a 4x4 to engage the transfer case, you want to shift gears like a 18 wheeler? that would be dumb and slow, call it teen mode or grandpa mode instead "4-speed was standard, but it had an interesting "twin-stick" feature that had a high and a low range and could be used on all 4 gears, effectively making it an 8-speed transmission." http://wikicars.org/en/Dodge_Colt "MMC's Twin-Stick Transaxle, with economy or power driving modes, was standard in all except the base Colt three-door hatchback" http://www.allpar.com/history/dodge/1983.html
t hall
had a colt non turbo..back then... with the twin stick... was not 'really' able to shift like you think... but the low range did help you could though go thru the gears and then hit the high range. Old B model Mack trucks had a twin stick too... they were fun
MikeMeyerhoff
I spot turbo door handles. Anyway, surely the father of the 1g/2g is worth more than $1k right?
BaltTSI
I have a nephew who had one of those when he was younger, it was a turbo, and a very light car, he could beat Mustang GTs with it, which would totally tick them off, it ended up being totaled by someone hitting him, but he walked out of it ok.
