  1. noted this sell yesterday, could not find advance notice... https://www.mecum.com/lots/FL0123-536516/1988-mitsubishi-starion/
  2. Point.... These 'copper' lines are not just soft copper.... that would not work. There are nickel copper lines that are DOT approved. use your google fu to see what is acceptable. https://www.google.com/search?q=copper+brake+lines&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&channel=sb Don't try 'regular' copper.. not worth the risk!! understand the differences!!
  3. Question... you evacuated the system... that's fine. was there a shrader valve under the dual pressure switch that would isolate the system from atomsphere and eliminate the need to evacuate the system?
  4. i sent a pm on that site, can't post a response.
  5. I believe if you take off the Black canister in front of the CC you will have some power steering problems.
  6. There was a recent post somewhere on the board concerning the bumper... they were able to take a hardware part and trim it down to work....(cant find post with search) but did find this one http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=95560&view=&hl=cruise rubber&fromsearch=1

  9. had a colt non turbo..back then... with the twin stick... was not 'really' able to shift like you think... but the low range did help you could though go thru the gears and then hit the high range. Old B model Mack trucks had a twin stick too... they were fun
  10. in downtown Denton NC this evening, filling up at corner of 109 and Peacock ST... believe an 86?
  11. And.... are the 85 and 86 injectors not different ???
  12. Have you figured out WHY the assembly did not fit? rotor thickness or what?
  13. yes, i can understand and agree on powdercoating heat ranges... getting material hot enough to facilitate bending can require higher temperatures, which can change the microstructure of the material... possibly to the point of crystalization...enducing brittleness.... the heating and cooling cycle can also affect this... I 'still' cannot figure out why one would think the caliper was bent... i can understand the rotor...
  14. Depending on the amount of heat you used on the caliper, the piston seals are also probably toast... not to mention the heat treatment of the caliper.... Also... I have not seen a caliper warp... only a rotor.... good luck!
  15. was the antenna still good? retracts and extends?
  16. Drag car.... run the waterpump only when necessary... allows for heat buildup quicker in staging lanes... also pump does not take crankshaft horsepower away... run pump on return lanes... would not be best idea on a street car though. most throw battery charger on after each run also. spraying nitrous also...
  17. http://web.InfoAve.Net/~ehall/whynot.jpg One please... for 85.5 thall
  18. agree, i thought that was a factory piece for 85.5 models... as most 86 flattys have the 'other' spoiler tell me about your wheel/tire combination please... i would like to change my 85.5 to this...
