  1. Stage 3, but that was way to radical to live with day to day, I rebuilt it a little milder after that.
  2. Yep, I had a hard time convincing some on here that mine would actually chirp the tires even going from 2nd to 3rd! I wrote manual trannys off after experiencing this many years ago making Mopar 727 autos shift like this for my old muscle cars
  3. Ok, I thought that was going to be a long in depth video, not, one reason it won't work...the music is all wrong! But seriously, that is nothing like the mod for our tranny, first of all if you go and start taking the valve body apart...which it didn't show, your going to have tiny parts falling all over the place that you may not be able to figure out how to get back in the right place. And I don't have a separator plate in front of me to compare to the one in the video, but the mods to that are completely different, and one spring in one valve? not a mod that I'm familiar with for our trans.
  4. I can tell you if it will work, just give me some time to look at the video, I gota run right now!
  5. Yep! I have seen so many different orifice configurations in these VBs when I was modifying them
  6. Oh hell, you did it now! I tell everyone I have built one for not to take the VB apart unless you know what your doing, small parts go everywhere! if no one else can help I'll have to get my diagrams out, it's been a while since I have worked on one, I'll try when I get home today. Balt.
  7. Hotrod, you have a Quest and an SRT4? cool, lay a comparison on me, I would like to hear what you think. And no, my Quest had the American Racing wheels
  8. Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knew what happened to the Quest I sold, I sold it to a guy in NY State and then someone on here shows me an ebay ad with it selling in Arizona. I'm still not missin it I'm still running around in my 09 Caliber SRT4.
  9. Hey Movin, what did you need the pictures for? how to bolt it back in? I should still have those
  10. I can't believe no one can answer this question, including me But try doing a search, I know this has come up before, the answer is in here somewhere. Rob
  11. Well let me know if you find one, I never did, thats why I started doing my own.
  12. Well, yes, it's got traction control, but it still will spin the tires, in fact the last year made ( 09 ) you can turn it off, with a $300 Mopar Stage 1 ECU you can put it over 300HP
  13. Yeah, I see you do have some mods...nice.
  14. Yep, like he said, so how do the two compare Hotrod? since you have one of each, I always wonder if my Quest was faster than my CSRT, never got any times on them, but I still swear by an auto tranny over a manual, my modded auto in the Quest would bang through the gears when I got on it, to do that with my CSRT you have to drive it like a rabid weasel on crack, you couldn't get an auto with this car, so to me the auto just felt faster....but probably not. One of the biggest differences is the turbo lag, practically a non-issue in the CSRT, but torque steer will scare the bejesus out of you the first couple times
  15. Yeah, but I'll wish them good luck in getting that much for it! but the mileage is for real, bigger turbo? looks like the 12a I had on it, hummmmm. Hey, another CSRT owner! do you still have your Quest also?
  16. Oh damn! I sold it to a guy in NY, I guess he sold it, too funny, thanks for that link
  17. Wow, this place is looking good, anyone remember me? it's been a little over a year since I sold my Quest, I still get an auto tranny question once in a while so I remember to come back here and see whats going on. But no, I still don't miss my Quest guys...sorry, I guess I had really had enough of it, sold it for $5000 on ebay. I got me an 09 Caliber SRT4 and am still loving it, I know it's a freaky looking box with big wheels, but guess what, in the year I have had it I have only had to lift the hood to change the oil! and thats what I wanted, I was just burned out on working on the Quest all the time, and this thing carries my two kids real good also, and I can drive it year round without fearing for my life or car But it turns out I ended up with another rare drive, only 976 09 SRT4s made, so I still have that part that I always loved about the Quest... uniqueness, and the community of owners are a great bunch of guys like the ones I always admired on here. X-Con-quest owner Rob
  18. Ok, no problem, do you have your VB out yet? I even have pictures on how to do that if you need them, I was charging $95 these days with your old VB in exchange, there has only been one guy who has shipped me one that wasn't leaking out of the box, it's not easy getting these things empty of fluid without completely taking it apart, but you can't do that! there's lots of small parts in there that you don't want to lose. So the best you can do is to seal it up in something like one of those freezer bags, and maybe wrap it up in plastic bags after that. I can have a built one back to you in about a week, I only build them to one level now, well... besides no one ever wanting the all out knock your drive shaft out level, and the softest level not being much different than stock, I have come up with a setup that feels just right, it's very firm shifting but it doesn't feel like it's going to break something, does this sound like what you had in mind? write me if you want at RL4406@AOL.COM Rob
  19. I haven't even been on this site much, are you saying you need a moded VB?
  20. The muffler to the tips? $40, if you could pick it up.
  21. I still have my whole stock exhaust system, taken off my car I had at 39,000 miles
  22. Thats one of the reasons I liked this car, you never see any on the roads! I have seen only one other one on the road besides mine
  23. Thats what I started thinking also, I just got tired of always putting time and money into my Quest, I got to the point where I just wanted to be done and drive something! burn out, so I sold mine, that car was on my list, the Hyundai coupe, but I needed a little more room, so I went with the Caliber SRT4, but I thought I read somewhere that the 2.4 in my car was shared by Hyundai and Mitsu, they all had a hand in developing it, but Hyundia's is only 2.0 so I don't know if it's the same engine, the SRT had more HP also, for less money, but no, it's not exactly a "sports" car if thats what your looking for.
  24. Thanks Brazilboy, I don't take any cuts personal, thats why I posted it on here, for some un-biased comments, rants or whatever, if I wanted all roses and compliments I would just stick to the guys on the Caliber site, but yeah, the thing makes some crazy yet reliable HP, I'm lovin it!
