Lunacy
want to ship that dash? very nice car! why not put a dohc head on it? Haha na black interiors are rare as rocking horse **** over here so will be saving that black dash for my widey which il eventually get. This car is going to be DOHC, head is already built and ready to go just need bottom end building Flywheel insert arrived this morn but no sign of harmonic balancer yet so looks like wont be getting stuff off to the builders til we next in port here in a week or 2. Lunacy
Well engine is at the builders as of yesterday so all going well will be done in a couple of weeks Flywheel insert arrived ok, and also been splurging on a few other new bits.Bought a vr4 loom to strip down to the bare essentials, that plugs strait into my EMS ecu. Also bought an OBX lightweight crank pulley, as my harmonic dampner was well stuffed. And a Sard fuel regulator And won a set of near new RC 750cc low impedance injectors yesterday on ebay for a very good price last night. and last but not least, a set of 3.90 gears for my LSD Oh and a Mazda B2600 bellhousing haha yeah spent far too much lately!!! Have managed to do a few things at work too. Have stripped down and overhauled one of my 4 pot callipers, and rebuilt it with a full new seal kit. Hopefully gonna get the other one done in next day or so.Also stripped down my rocker cover ready for breather mods, and paint.Have my front suspension arms on the ship too to burn the bushings out of since a certain suspension shop in Auckland managed to completely stuff the ones i sent them to have the bushings removed :glare: Couple of pics:Brake calliper after rebuild http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Lunacy55/CIMG0852.jpghttp://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Lunacy55/CIMG0853.jpg Stripped rocker cover http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Lunacy55/CIMG0854.jpg FPR and crank pulley http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Lunacy55/CIMG0851.jpg More to come soon. Lunacy
Well been awhile since i updated this. Have actually been getting quite a bit done. With the engine bay empty ive degreased it, and have started cutting off all the unnecessary brackets. Then just need to sand it back and have it painted (hopefully soon)I dropped in on my engine builder to see how the build is going and so far he has tanked the block, line bored it and installed the arp main studs. He did a clearance check with the old crank and found 1 rod journal wasn't going to cut the mustard so have given him yet another one to use (think ive been thru 4 or 5 cranks so far So he said should have the short block done by xmas which is gd news. Yesterday i went on a cleaning spree and degreased most random engine bay parts that will be going back in.After doing the brake and clutch lines, i then repainted them in high temp silver paint which came up awesome.Other stuff is in a pile for the third round at the powdercoaters. Also overhauled and checked the brake booster.Enough babble pics tell the story. Head mocked uphttp://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Lunacy55/CIMG0870.jpghttp://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Lunacy55/CIMG0871.jpghttp://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Lunacy55/CIMG0872.jpg Painting brake lines and rocker cover http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Lunacy55/CIMG0868.jpg Brake booster http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Lunacy55/CIMG0869.jpg More to come soon

Lunacy
No its just an adaptor so you run a remote housing further up the line.Heres the thread on austarionhttp://www.austarion.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11374&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=thermostat&start=0You'll have to check with him as to whether he has any left or not
Lunacy
Well the last few days have been alot of spending - have been buying up all the fittings for the fuel system. So far have bought a bosch 044 pump, inline filter, heaps of speedflow fittings and braided hose.Need to get under the car now and measure up the length of lines from rear to front of the car, then run and attach them, as well as plumbimg up the surge tank. That should all be done by xmas at least.Tomorrow im also picking up a spare block to use as a mock up, so i can make up brackets in engine bay for fuel reg, coil packs etc.All the old brackets have been cut off too so starting fresh with minimal clutter hopefully in the bay when its done. If i can get that done before new years, then engine bay can get painted while im away at work in January Couple more picshttp://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Lunacy55/CIMG0874.jpghttp://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Lunacy55/CIMG0876.jpghttp://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Lunacy55/CIMG0878.jpghttp://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Lunacy55/CIMG0879.jpg The bosch 044 is a HUGE unit compared to the Walbro! Lunacy
Right well back from work for another 4 weeks so strait back into getting alot sorted on the car Need to get into it as wife and i just bought a house so its welcome to mortgageville for us.While i was away i managed to pick up a B2600 gearbox, a spare evo head, a Racetech seat and a battery cable Thanks to JAS for collecting alot of it for me.Well today i got stuck into my struts, managed to get 1 gland nut off ok, but the other one would not budge even after bashing, heating, welding on a breaker bar etc. Suspension shop had no luck even so that one has just been chopped. Suspension place has new threaded tops to weld on so not a worry really. So struts are all chopped now, and will mock up the top piece to weld on with these GAB inserts (same size as the mr2 ones il be using). Also sorted out a coilover setup while i was at suspension place Russell the dude in the Stocks workshop in Auckland is a legend and full of help and knowledge - big ups to him http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Lunacy55/DSCF0053.jpg Also got these in the mail yesterday too http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i203/Lunacy55/DSCF0055.jpg Engine should be back by end of next week, off to be balanced on monday then assembled again and hopefully home to me by friday
