Was a short day at work, so I stuck around, and quickly cut these out to be ready to etch (I love air tools)

Here they are with the current tails, as you can see, I need a Starion outer lens for the Driver's (left) side

Got the spacers (pen bodies) cut, and got the boards mounted

Also got all the holes drilled in the boards tonight. Took about 30 minutes to do the 391 holes for this ONE side

And heres, both tails, and the stock quest lenses (ones the tinted one in earlier pics) and the one Starion lens I have so far (work with Das on a deal for the second one)

I'll be trying to stay at work late tomorrow (on my own time) to populate the boards, safer environment to solder in than my apartment

hehe, I do use the lead free solder, but it still puts off a small amount of smoke. And with the temps as they are (getting to below 40 tonight) I'm not gonna open one of my windows. And I just got back from "work" where I spent the past 4.5 hours soldering.

Will have new pics in a bit

OK, got the other boards populated, and fixed the lower board on the "finished" tail, regulators were backwards. as are the ones on the middle board on the "new" tail, gonna have to fix that later.

Also got the housing of the driver's side painted.

Still have to run the wires on the "new" tail, to connect the boards, and then run wires to the stock plug, those will come soon.

ALL WIRING DONE!

all that's left to do is put a "conformal coating" on the boards, then finish the deal with Das for the other Starion Lens, and then these will be done, and ready to put on my car.

Started today by fixing my mistake with the regulators, then running the wires between the boards, and the wires to the plug

That is AMAZING. D, you're good. Real good.

I remember you saying previously in this thread that these would be too expensive and time-consuming to reproduce, but now I ask out of curiosity ... what would a set of these bad-boys cost?

I'd do a set for $1500 if the tail lights were supplied

how 'bout $300 and ride in my two person big wheel? You can pedal. I swear I will do it.

very nice work man. When you want something I guess you just have to set your mind to it and do it.
