GP MK1 CF/FRP AIRDAM "CLOSED"

hello members,

this GP is for mookeeh mk1 88-89 style carbon fiber and fiber glass platic reinforced airdams.

installation of the cf airdam was pretty straight forward. all mounting holes on the airdam matched with holes on the bumper cover and the fenders.

as you can see in the pictures, cf airdam fits and looks pretty good. but when you look real close to it, you will notice some minor details.

front of the airdam looks great with no visiable gaps. but the both ends of the airdam where the airdam meets the fenders, you see some gaps. i am not sure about yours but with my stock and the blue 89 one i fixed had some gaps and were never perfect fit either.

one other thing i noticed was that the angle/line coming down from the fender matches with the airdam but not perfectly. i think some adjustments are needed to get this straight. stock airdam is not perfect either but since it is made of rubber/urethane?, you can easily flex/bend to fix this.

this aridam has cf front and the side but not on top, bottom and the behind/inside.

if you have any questions on certain part of the airdam or want to see pictures of certain area, please ask before placing an order. i will try my best.

How long after paying and the deadline will you be ready to ship?

4cylfury,

roughly 1-2 months after the deadline as i placed an order already and they started to mass producing them now.

however, i cant guarantee it as it could take longer than expected.

i do not recommend you ordering one if you need one right away.

thanks,

Will this still work with my '86 Starion? I know you specified the 88-89 style but i am not sure what the difference is? Let me know and a deposit will be on the way!

as far as i understand, this will fit any wideboy starquests, but no flatties.

thanks,

hi 101

would you recomend the fiberglass one over the factory urethane one? with those shipping costs and brokerage fees, i would only be saving about 40.00. the only thing is i am not sure which one i should go with?

Xtreme,

it is totally up to you. you are the customer.

based on my experience, it is easier to fix the fiberglass one compare to the urethane one.

i(not a professional body repair man) repaired one i bought from a junkyard and did not last even a month and already cracked and split opened both corners by little dropping off the car while i was trying on and off.
